Must Visit Place in India
Jog Falls is the second highest plunge waterfalls in India. Falling point of water is located in Siddapura in Uttara Kannada District
and the view point is in Sagara taluk of Karnataka. Jog Falls is also known as
Gerusoppa falls, Joga Jalapatha and Jogada gundi in the Kannada language.It is a segmented and seasonally changing waterfall which depends on rain. The falls are major attractions for tourists and is ranked 13th in the world by the waterfall database. It is actually located in the heart of the Sharavathi Wildlife Sanctuary.
You can reach this place by the means of private or taxi vehicle by road:

Distance from Goa=253.7km
Distance from Mangalore=213.1km
Or you can reach by train to the nearest railway station which is Talguppa(TLGP):

Kempegowda International Airport(Bengaluru)--430km
Mangalore Airport---216km
The water flow depends on the water level in the Linganamakki Dam nearby. The streams of falling water changes in volume as per seasons.:
But the best time to visit is in the late monsoon or rainy season, when the water is falling at its full flow making the scenery photogenic.
